Palacios Community Medical Center is prepared and committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, guests and staff while serving our community and surrounding communities. As such, we are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak and all advisories, directives, notifications, etc. from applicable federal, state and local authorities. We are working with these agencies to ensure that your hospital continues to stay updated on the changes in policies and procedures to better care for you and your family. We want to share with you the actions we are taking to help protect our staff and potential patients.
Our staff has been prepped and educated on the necessary steps to take when faced with a possible case. We have placed masks and hand sanitizers at all entrances of the hospital. If you need to come to the hospital/ER and believe you may be infected, please put on a mask and use the hand sanitizers as you enter the facility and immediately advise our staff of your symptoms. Our staff will screen symptomatic patients and communicate that information to the Texas Department of State Health Services and if so directed, send testing swabs to the designated testing center for our region. We have and will continue to maintain a clean and safe environment. Our goal is to keep everyone safe.
We appreciate the trust that you place in Palacios Community Medical Center. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to help keep our staff and patients safe while providing the care the community needs.
