Dr. Gene Burns received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee in 1991 and he completed his Family Medical Residency at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1994. He has most recently been providing medical services in Ballinger, Texas and before that in Louisiana.
Dr. Burns was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and has grown children in college and in the military. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Medical Association. He has served on school boards, been a physician for a school team, and has played an active role in Samaritan’s Purse, a non-denominational evangelical Christian International Relief organization. Dr. Burns practices care for all ages and is available as scheduled.
